Mr. Cox has more than 38 years of experience in the real estate business and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B. A. degree in public administration/real estate. He also completed the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Advanced Management Development Program. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a Graduate, Realtor® Institute (GRI). An Horry County native, he has extensive knowledge of the Grand Strand real estate market and considerable banking experience as a former member of the advisory boards of the National Bank of South Carolina and Crescent Mortgage. He brings a strong educational and business background to his post on the board, as chairman of the compensation committee, and as a member of the executive and loan committees. Mr. Cox is a past chairman of the South Carolina Real Estate Commission and Horry County Planning Commission. He currently serves as chairman of the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
